On April 6, 2026, The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and Adams Community Bank, Adams, Massachusetts, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Community Bancorp of the Berkshires, MHC and Community Bancorp of the Berkshires, Inc., entered into a merger agreement pursuant to which The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank will merge with and into Adams Community Bank. The combined mutual banking organization will have approximately $1.5 billion in assets and 15 full-service branches throughout Berkshire County, Massachusetts.

The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank has approximately $430 million in assets and five branches in Dalton, Great Barrington and Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Adams Community Bank has approximately $1.0 billion in assets and nine branches in Adams, Cheshire, Great Barrington, Lanesborough, Lee, Lenox, North Adams, Pittsfield and Williamstown, Massachusetts.
