On March 30, 2026, Affinity Bancshares, Inc., Covington, Georgia, and Fidelity BancShares (N.C.), Inc., Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, entered into a merger agreement pursuant to which Affinity will merge with and into Fidelity in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $142.8 million.
Fidelity is the holding company for The Fidelity Bank and has approximately $4.4 billion in assets with branch offices in North Carolina, South Carolina and Viriginia.
Affinity is the holding company for Affinity Bank, National Association, and has approximately $881.4 million in assets with branch offices in Georgia.
